A Community of Artists

Today sculptor, Mel Bingaman, and photographer, Anita Bingaman were visited by photographer, Deborah Hughes Conger along with Jacob, aka Robert, aka Toto, an up and coming sculptor in his own right. After cups of good coffee and hot chocolate and great pastry from the Besalu, Mel and Jacob got busy building clay pots, while Deborah and Anita discussed "pairing" of photographs, after which Deborah went about exploring Ballard, and Anita honed her people skills photographing Jacob(RT).

Mel and I have decided to go to Sicily. We will leave March 24 and return April 14th. We have our airline reservations on Air France, so we will fly to Paris and the to Rome where we fly on a small airline, AirOne into Catania, Siciliy. See map.

Well, I can see I have a lot to learn. I meant for the photos to be below the dialog. I am having no luck, so I am going to send this out anyway. You will get to witness my adventure.

A Beginning

At first I had typed my title as "A New Beginning", but then I thought that was redundant as all beginnings are new. Right? Anyway here I am starting on a blogging adventure. I am new at this so who knows what will happen. I certainly don't.

For starters I am going to try adding some photos that I took on an outing to the Pike Place Market with my friend and mentor, Kari Berger. We were on a mission to experiment with taking photos of people as both of us are a little shy and have difficulty intruding in the lives of others especially strangers. I certainly helped having a companion. We were also trying to learn more about how our cameras work. The day was a big success.
